Terms and Conditions



Your pet is very important to us. FurBaby Pet Care would like to assure you that every effort will be made to make your pets' grooming experience as safe and pleasant as possible. Safety comes first for everyone, people as well as the animals, during the grooming process.  


Please read each paragraph before booking with us.

  • Confirming Appointments

After making an appointment for grooming we will send a confirmation text message 48 hours prior to your appointment. We ask that you reply to confirm your appointment time within 24 hours of receiving the confirmation text message or your appointment may be cancelled and offered to another customer. 

  • Cancellations

Because we book on an hourly basis and cancellations or late arrivals can leave an empty block in the schedule that could have otherwise been used by another customer, we ask that any cancellations are made at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Late Arrivals

Please note that arriving late for an appointment could mean that we are unable to provide the full service you are booked in for as there is an allocated time for each service. Please be respectful of our time as we are a by-appointment business. Appointment will be cancelled and considered a No Show after 15mins past booking time and fees to reschedule will apply.

  • No Shows

After one No Show appointment a $50 non refundable deposit will be required at time of booking to reserve all future appointments. This must be paid within 24 hours of making the booking or all future appointments will be canceled. Deposit can be made in store or bank transfer. Please ask for bank details.

  • Late Pick-Ups

Please be on time to pick-up your pets. Any pets picked up after the allocated pick up time will incur a $5 per 15 minute fee in addition to any grooming fees.

  • Interruptions During Grooming Services

For the safety of the animals being groomed, as well as the professional pet groomer, it is asked that you do not interrupt the groomer during grooming. Every effort will be made to ensure your pet is groomed as safely as possible, but an excited pet can be dangerous to continue to work on.  After dropping your pet off, please do not return to the salon until you have received a confirmation from us that your pet is ready.

  • Vaccination

At FurBaby Pet Care, we HIGHLY recommend (but do not require) that your pet be immunized & kept up to date with their vaccine. With the recommendation that all pets visiting us be vaccinated, if a pet should become infected, all treatment and costs associated shall be the pet owner’s responsibility.  We care about the health of your pet.


  • Fleas/Ticks

FurBaby Pet Care strives to be a flea-free salon.  If your pet has any fleas they will be given a flea bath at your expense of $10 - $20 (depending on size of pet). If you do not want them to receive one, you can reschedule your appointment after the problem is taken care of by you. Ticks will be removed free of charge and you will be notified if any are found.​

  • Dangerous or Aggressive Animals-Refusal of Services

FurBaby Pet Care has the right to refuse any services at any time. In the event that your pet is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, FurBaby Pet Care has the right to refuse grooming services, stop grooming services, or cancel grooming services at any time before, during, or after grooming and client will be charged a grooming fee (for what was done up until that point).    


  • Use of Muzzles

We do not muzzle unless your pet gives us a reason to. Other methods are used to calm your pet, muzzling is a last resort. Muzzling does not harm your pet and protects both the pet and the groomer. In some cases, muzzling may even calm a stressed animal, allowing the grooming process to continue. If your pet still acts in a way that is dangerous, FurBaby Pet Care has the right to stop grooming services at any time and a service fee will be collected.

  • Matted Coats

Animals with severely matted coats require extra attention. Mats in an animals coat grow tight, and can ultimately damage and tear the animals skin, which provides a breeding ground for parasite infestations. FurBaby Pet Care will not cause serious or undue stress to your pet by dematting. Mats can be very difficult to remove, and may require the pet to be shaved. Removing a heavily matted coat can cause nicks, cuts or abrasions due to skin growths trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet's skin allowing mould, fungus or bacteria to grow, producing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. After-effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to regrow. In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioural changes. Prevention is the best defence by scheduling regular grooming appointments, every 4-8 weeks. If your pet needs to be shaved to remove matting, you acknowledge that you agree to this procedure, and any risk. There will be an additional charge for this process: it is time consuming, and causes extra wear and tear on grooming equipment.


  • Health or Medical Problems

Occasionally, grooming can expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. All medical expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the pet's owner.


  • Accidents

Although accidents are very rare, there is a risk when dealing with animals.  Grooming equipment is sharp and although we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. In most cases this can happen when an animal is wiggling or moving around.  Your pets’ safety and comfort is our number one priority. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified of the accident. If FurBaby Pet Care feels it is serious, and the owner is not on-site, FurBaby Pet Care will seek immediate veterinary care for your pet.


  • Satisfaction

Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy for any reason, and would like something adjusted, we will be happy to make any adjustments at completion of your pets grooming appointment. Once, however, we have left your home or you have left our salon, any return visits will be treated as a new appointment and client will be charged a grooming fee of some kind.


  • Photographs

FurBaby Pet Care may take photos of your pet for client file and for company website and Facebook page. All photos taken are the property of FurBaby Pet Care.
